An Australian-made Stirling engine

I’ve long admired Stirling engines – those beautiful bits of engineering that run off a heat differential. I like the idea of using available heat and I like the steampunk loveliness of the engineering. The really good ones are expensive and, given they don’t do anything beyond turn, very much a non-essential. But I can dream.

It was nice to come across an Australian manufacturer: Willstead Model Engines makes the SE1-10 Stirling engine and it does look pretty…
