Sydney Brick Show on in April

cropped-Side-by-Side

The Sydney Brick Show is on April 24-27 at the Sydney Town Hall. We’ve been to several of these now and they’ve always been fun and inspiring.

The Brick Show displays the amazing creations of LEGO fans from around Australia, including those of Ryan McNaught Australia’s only certified LEGO Professional. The move to the Town Hall instead of David Jones is a good one, although it remains a shame for the Powerhouse Museum that they lost such a creative and geeky event.

There are still another few weeks to enter the ‘Creation Competition’ for junior (6-10 years) and intermediate (11-16 tears) builders. Entrants make a LEGO creation up to 1 x 1 metre – the winners will display their creations at the Show.

Tickets to the Show aren’t yet on sale but email subscribers to their site will get 48-hours early notice of availability.

For all the gory details see the Sydney Brick Show website.

I see each booking session is on the hour – or does it take about this to see it all or shorter longer?

From my experience, seeing the displays takes about an hour. The whole thing will take longer, though, if your kids want to play with the bricks set out for playing or wander the shopping opportunities. Getting in is the timing issue, I didn’t see any pressure to leave once you were through the door.
