Looking for Gamers – tabletop gaming goes wild 9-10 July

LFGLFG Australia is Sydney’s newest, biggest tabletop gaming event and it’s coming on July 9-10. LFG Australia comes from the team behind the Toy and Game Expo and involves a packed weekend of boardgaming at the Bankstown Sports Club, with demos, competitions and activities for the entire family.

The Sports Club’s grand ballroom will be LFG’s trading hall, where local and international publishers will be demoing and retailing their latest titles. There will be stalls from Stronghold, Mayday, Indie Boards & Cards, Osprey, Grail Games, and more. There’s also a free minis Paint-&-Take, wargaming demos by the Hall of Heroes, the Indie Alley, and discount retail by the LFG team.

Outside the trading hall there will be an open gaming area, where you can grab a game from the games library or crack open a recent purchase: “Trained volunteers will be teaching games all weekend, and if you’re looking for a new group to play with, just hold up a LOOKING FOR GROUP sign. You’ll be making new friends in no time.”

RPGs courtesy of Exiles Gaming Club and the Sydney Roleplaying Gamers Association are running all weekend, with sessions of Call of Cthulhu, DnD5E, and Dread going until midnight. Sessions are almost full, so if you’re interested, sign up today: http://lfg-aus.com.au/rpgs.php

Euro competitions and X-Wing Tournaments are also running all weekend. If you’re a daring pilot or you have Euro chops, places are still open! Sign up here: http://lfg-aus.com.au/tournaments.html

There are also family activities and demos, such as a free Coconuts tournament, giant JENGA, an internal adventure playground and the Sports Club cinema screening kid’s movies all school holidays.

To be honest I don’t even know what some of that means, but it’s all pretty huge in a tabletop gaming sense. Tickets are available through:http://lfg-aus.com.au/tickets.html.
