Arrivo Sydney is simply excellent
I like an app that does one thing well, and Arrivo Sydney falls solidly into that category.
Arrivo tells you what the upcoming bus, train or ferry to arrive at your stop will be and tells you how late they are running. I’ve found it invaluable. It’s one thing to look up a timetable and see what route you need to take, but if you already know the route just seeing how late your bus is running Arrivo is the difference between a frustrating wait and an extra cup of coffee.
Because Arrivo is based around the bus stop you are at, rather than a specific route, it simply gives you all the information you need in one place – as long as whether your bus is on time is what you are after. Many of the reviews of Arrivo compare it unfavorably to the competition because it doesn’t come with a route planner. There are some great route planner apps out there; I use TripGo and Google Maps, for example, regularly: But they track the route, not the stop. If you’re travelling around inner Sydney where buses come often, all you really want to know is what’s the next bus that’s going to arrive at my stop: And that’s the thing Arrivo does admirably. One thing, done well.
Arrivo is available on the Google Play store.
What do you think of the updated app ?
To be honst I hand’t consciously noted an update. I use Arrivo every couple of days and still find it excellent.
Very poor since upgrade august 13
What’s the problem? I use it on Android mostly now and haven’t noticed an issue.
Strange it’s gone back to normal thank goodness
