Sydney Science Festival open for bookings
The Sydney Science Festival looks great. From talks by famous science-types through to forums and general science mayhem there appears to be something for everyone.
This “festival of astronomical proportions” runs from 13 to 23 August and includes talks by some of the best researchers, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, events for families and panel discussions where you can have your say alongside celebrity science speakers. Highlights include the Maker Faire, and talks from Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Chris Hatfield.
While it’s pitched as the ‘inaugural’ Sydney Science Festival, it is clearly the love-child of the Ultimo Science Festival but broadening the geographic reach means both a cooler name and the chance to involve a wider range of venues.
The Sydney Science Festival full program is now available online. There’s a wide enough range of activities, and enough that require booking, that some pre-planning will pay dividends.
