The Fretus Hotel in Calabash Bay
I love it when the guys from ZGeek venture out to abandoned, moldering sites across Sydney. Their latest photo excursion is to the Fretus Hotel in Calabash Bay now reduced to beautiful sandstone remnant walls being slowly eaten away by the bush. The photos are worth a look. I particularly like the ones showing the graffiti from the 1930s. It’s always amused me how after a period of time graffiti shifts from vandalism to become an historical artifact in itself.
For the full photo journey on their ‘excursion of doom’ head on over to ZGeek.
