Diary dates for iron, zombies and bricks
Ironfest this year comes with the interesting title: Apocalypse. The only explanation for the title seems to come in the form of a video showing a Solar flare and the enigmatic words “All will be revealed, as the comet gets closer!”. Who knows? Anyway, Ironfest in all its medieval metal glory will be held on April 21st and 22nd. Discounted tickets are available if you buy online before 1 April. Full details can be found here.
The next Zombie March will be held on Saturday October 27th at 3:30pm. See here for registration and details.
The Sydney Brick Show has opened up registrations for exhibitors and announced a competition for under-16s to build something. Competition winners will get their creation exhibited at the Show and get free passes. They do have to spend the entire day at the Show, but that’s presumably little hardship in the circumstances. The competition rules say that the entry must be no more than a meter square. That’s a size that could stretch most younger builders imaginations and, more importantly, resources.
Registrations for the event itself are now said to be coming in April. The Show’s website also now has a gallery showcasing some of the things being built for display.
