The world is not ending

Dr Karl Kruszelnicki says, in his own inimitable fashion, that there is no reason to think an ancient Mayan calendar correctly predicted the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. Others agree.

Then again, if it does end, the good news in that it would have to be in the Mayan time zone – so we here in Sydney would get an extra few hours of life.
