Eureka Prize finalists announced
What an amazing range of finalists in the Eureka Prizes.
Presented annually the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes reward excellence in the fields of research and innovation, leadership and commercialisation, school science, and science journalism and communication. This year 56 finalists will vie for top honours and a share of more than $180,000.
Finalists include “Professor Frank Caruso from the University of Melbourne whose nanotechnology-applied fabrics are set to revolutionise healthcare; the combined University of New South Wales and Swinburne University of Technology team whose findings suggest the laws of physics vary across the cosmos; and Dr Zenobia Jacobs who is trying to discover the origin of human behaviour and cognitive capabilities.”
The photography finalists are particularly beautiful and the school entries in the Sleek Geeks Prize are just wonderful.
Winners are announced at an Award Dinner on Tuesday 28 August.
