Sydney Science Festival is just around the corner

The Sydney Science Festival is one of the best geeky moments in the Sydney year and it’s back on 7-9 August.

There’s a bunch of interesting stuff from interplanetary exploration to animal welfare, living with robots to how music influences memory, roving dinosaurs to plants with superpowers, there is something for everyone.

Speak with some of the best scientists in the world, uncover scientific secrets at our leading museums, see interactive shows with the family, and much, much more.

Some of the bits that stand out for me include:

  • The latest on quantum computing with Dr Michelle Simmons.
  • Lassoing a locust to investigate the mysteries of flight.
  • PubPhysics: Physicists share their research in a relaxed atmosphere..
  • Chaos Theory: A Cabaret of Satirical Science

There really is something for everyone. Some things need booking, some need buying, many need neither. Just go to the Sydney Science Festival website and sign up to do something..
