Young Creators Conference 2017 – expressions of interest are open

Expressions of interest are open for the MAAS Young Creators Conference 2017.

The 2nd annual MAAS Young Creators Conference will be held on 15 August 2017 as part of the Sydney Science Festival. It’s billed as “a window into what’s actually going on at our most creative schools … [offering] visitors the chance to be informed, entertained and surprised by the projects and passions of the next generation of local innovators”.

To be part of the Young Creators Conference you need to have a project – it can be a work in progress – and your school needs to submit an expression of interest. The EOI needs to be accompanied by agreement to a, frankly ridiculous, set of terms and conditions which are far more suited to a trade show than a school-level exhibition; and which pretty much preclude an any organisation that isn’t a school from entering. That would be my only hesitation in getting involved in what is, otherwise, a utterly fabulous event.

Encouraging innovation in schools and giving an outlet to the young innovators is simply brilliant.  This is a great opportunity for innovators working away within schools to showcase what they are doing.

If you’re just interested in having a school group go along to take a look, you’ll need to book on [email protected] or 02 9217 0222.
