Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock tournament in Sydney

400px-Rock_Paper_Scissors_Lizard_Spock_en.svgDo you know if Spock beats rock? If so, there are prizes uyp for grabs at the very first ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock’ tournament in Sydney at Kings Comics on this Saturday 12 December 2015 from 10am.

‘Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock’ was created by internet pioneer and blogger, Sam Kass and made famous when Sheldon  introduced viewers to the unique twist on the game in Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory. The game was designed to create more winning variables than the traditional ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’, allowing players who know each other well to avoid landing on the same choices.

Presto is now giving fans of The Big Bang Theory the first opportunity to officially play the game in the Southern Hemisphere. In keeping with one of the favourite haunts of the show’s characters, Presto will be hosting the tournaments at a comic book store.

There’s no need to register – just turn up on the days between 10am-4pm and get involved in the ‘best of five’ winner-stays-on games, until the person with the most wins is announced at the end of each day and first-of-their-kind trophies presented.

Just like the show’s characters, attendees are encouraged to come down in cosplay, or even dress as their favourite The Big Bang Theory character, with prizes including free Presto subscriptions up for grabs.

The event is taking place in celebration of Presto becoming the exclusive subscription-on-demand home to The Big Bang Theory.
