Find out what Science Says! in November

cropped-the-science-nationInterested in an afternoon of science and comedy in the style of the great panel shows (think Good News Week and Spicks and Specks)? Well there’s one available in November as The Science Nation “takes a lighter look at the top science stories of 2015 – and some of the quirkier ones, too”. Science Says! is “science as you’ve never seen it before, with this year’s panelists including world leading researchers, gifted comedians, and professional science communicators – all with a flair for the dramatic”.

Hosted by “well-known figure of stage and science”, Dr Joel Gilmore, you’ll be guaranteed 90 minutes of entertainment, competition and comedy – and perhaps even education.

Competing for scientific glory in Sydney is: anthropologist, science communicator and evolutionary scientist and former journalist A/Prof Darren Curnoe; neuroscientist Josien de Bie; astronomer and ultra-marathon runner Dr Lisa Harvey-Smith; co-founder of Australia’s first open molecular biology lab, BioFoundry, Meow-Lugo Meow-Meow; and physicist, freediver and mountaineer Dr Peter Rohde; with one more participant to be announced. That’s a pretty fine group of scientific talkers.
