SheHacks 2015 is the Girl Geek Sydney Hackathon

girl geek sydneyGirl Geek Sydney are running their second all female hackathon – SheHacks – which will see up to 100 female developers, designers, UX and producers working in small groups to come up with digital ideas and prototypes. This year the theme is ‘Environment and Education’.

Girl Geek Sydney is a volunteer run community group focusing on promoting and engaging women in technology in Sydney. Over the next couple of days their SheHacks event will see teams form to come up with, develop and pitch applications. Women of any age with programming, design, user experience or project management skills can get involved – you explicitly don’t have to be a programmer or have experience. The event has some serious backing and there are likely to be cool prizes on offer in addition to the glory of course. There’s also the added bonus that SheHacks is being held in the Google offices.

She hacks is completely free, but registration is essential. All the details and the registration button can be found here.
