Where to buy the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B locally

Raspberry_Pi_2_Model_BWhile even the new Raspberry Pi 2 Model B does not send shivers of delight down my spine, I understand there are many people out there who love these little beasts. So…

Tronixlabs is selling them for $40 plus a shipping cost that will depend on how fast you want the little gadget to arrive in your hands. I have to say that looks like an absolute winner of a price.

RaspberryPiAustralia had them for $69, but they appear to have already sold out; although I imagine they’ll be working hard to remedy that.

The new model has significantly more power than earlier versions, enough that Microsoft has just announced there’ll be a version of Windows 10 made for it. I still struggle with the use-case for the Raspberry but I know many people love them and have found great ways to use them.

That said, if you are a more serious hobbyist or in an educational environment you should take a look at, Sydney company, Bitscope’s Pi Oscilloscope. Bitscope has both generic and specific-to-Raspberry Pi products: “Connect any BitScope via USB or Ethernet with Raspberry Pi to build a complete stand-alone mixed signal oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer and waveform generator.” Nice.

If anyone is aware of other places to buy the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B locally feel free to comment or drop me a line.

Edit: Not quote local but Element14 has them for $38 plus shipping from Singapore.
