Robocup Junior 2014 open for business

Registrations for the NSW Open Division of Robocup Junior are now open.

The NSW state competition is on 28 and 29 August at UNSW and includes the usual range of activity covering dance, rescue and soccer.  There are also a series of regional competitions, but there doesn’t appear to be a Sydney competition this year.

I am a big fan of Robocup and can happily echo the words of competition Chair, Bronwyn Moreton,  “These challenges are a great way to encourage and celebrate innovation and perseverance and we are all looking forward to a fantastic showcase of our students’ achievements!” For me there are many good things about Robocup Junior, but the best element  is the need for the teams to operate on their own.
