How much science-love can one room hold?

I’m all of a quiver. Most of my favourite science communicators in one place for the evening. Can it get much better than this?

It’s an evening celebrating science with I Fucking Love Science (or as I’m increasingly seeing it IFLS – with popularity comes abbreviation) and friends. Joining Elise Andrew (IFLS) are Derek Muller (Veritasium), Brian Schmidt (Nobel Laureate), Phil Plait (Bad Astronomer), Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, Justine Rogers (Nerd Nite), Henry Reich (MinutePhysics), Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown (AsapScience), Carin Bondar (Wild Sex) and Destin Sandlin (SmarterEveryDay).

This will all happen at the Powerhouse Museum – although I can’t find any details on their site – on August 12. The event is strictly 18+. The bar will be open with drinks for sale. One free drink with every ticket (beer, wine or soft drink). Tickets go on sale at 12:30pm today.

UPDATE: The event sold out in minutes. And I didn’t get a ticket. No love for GiS….
