E-tickets are the way we run now

You really know that turning up with your e-ticket on your phone is becoming mainstream when registration details warn you that you might have connection problems.

We just signed up for the Blackmore’s Sydney Running Festival and the registration email comes with the following warning:

We have been advised that phone reception/3G/internet connection is quite poor in the Lower Town Hall. We advise all participants either print a copy or take a screen grab of the attached e-ticket to collect your event kit. 

They are obviously expecting that without the warning most people will just turn up with their e-ticket. Oh how times have changed.
