Sydney Astrofest is back for 2018

Sydney Astrofest is a huge free night of astronomy activities, events and talks at the University of Sydney. It has something for everyone who’s interested in the night sky (even indoor things for those us challenged by a Winter evening):

  • night-sky scope viewing
  • fascinating astronomy talks including a Q&A session for kids
  • planetarium shows ($2 donation)
  • Capturing the Cosmos film screenings
  • expert interactive activities and demonstrations
  • Lion’s Club BBQ Sizzle + Taste Baguette
  • prizes to win

The event is free but registration is recommended and gets you into the running to win a telescope from CELESTRON or one of two family night passes to the Sydney Observatory.

There’s also an app with a bunch of details and notifications: Download via the App Store or Google Play and enter event code ‘Astrofest18’.
