Greatest invention since sliced butter: Stupendous Splendiferous ButterUp

splediferous butterupThe Stupendous Splendiferous ButterUp is one of those ideas that once you see you can’t believe someone hasn’t already come up with. It’s beautifully simple. Beautifully clever, And just pretty much beautiful. And it comes from a Sydney design group.

The Stupendous Splendiferous ButterUp is a butter knife with built-in grater. That means you can use butter, real butter, out of the fridge. As the Kickstarter pitch puts it: “Say goodbye to hard clumps of butter ripping apart your morning toast with ButterUp. The Stupendous Splendiferous ButterUp quickly turns cold, hard butter into sumptuous easy to spread ribbons of dairy goodness.”

With 11 days to go on the campaign they’ve already got over $218,000 in backing. You’ll need to pledge a massive $12 to get one of the little beauties (and, in a side-note you don’t see often, ‘add $6 to ship outside of Australia’).
